About

Leili Eghbal (Licensed Human Element Practitioner, Licensed Practitioner Implicit Career Search) is the Founder and CEO of the Community School for Human Arts and MAPPS (Mentoring Adolescents & Adults for Personal and Professional Success), a human-centered personal development program that helps individuals from all walks of life define and develop a fulfilling and effective work purpose. She is wholly dedicated to people, connects with the potential and possibility in us all, and believes literally anyone can be effective when given the right support. Leili's most recent project is the development of Global MicroSchools: A Social and Vocational Learning Enterprise of Common Good and Equal Opportunity where our curriculum is guided by the fundamental belief that Human Development (a process that promotes human well-being by expanding people's capabilities to Be and to Flourish) and Capacitation (power to generate employment + income), in the form of social and emotional education, is as important as economic and financial development is to our well-being, self-sufficiency and resilience as citizens and communities.

Her program serves a wide range of clients, from established leaders to mid-career professionals to youth looking to make their way in the world. Leili is also dedicated to ensuring that those who face the most profound disadvantages — homelessness, incarceration, mental health issues — have equal access to the life-changing tools and resources that her school offers. She feels this work can do more than help individuals; it has the potential to lift whole communities.

A first-generation Iranian-American, Leili has always allowed her heart and values to guide her career. She has held leadership roles in the fields of publishing, technology, real estate, hospitality and social services, most recently as Director of Human Resources at Chrysalis, a workforce development social enterprise serving the homeless and disadvantaged in Los Angeles. But it was a transformational journey to The Human Element Practitioner program in Tarrytown, New York that truly solidified her purpose, after which she dedicated herself to working in restorative ways on behalf of those who are victims of social injustice. While in Tarrytown, she also rediscovered the work of Will Schutz, leader of the Human Potential Movement, creator of the Human Element® and FIRO Theory and a pioneer in personal empowerment, leadership development, and group productivity. Leili had promoted several of his books as Director of Publicity at Ten Speed Press in Berkeley, and reconnecting with his work brought her career full circle.

Leili's process is also influenced by holistic healing practices, especially the ideas of persistent effort and non-attachment that are essential parts of yogic philosophy. She believes that a healthy body improves quality of mind by nurturing a feeling of calm and increasing one's natural curiosity. She founded the Community School for Human Arts in 2017 for everyone who has ever thought “I haven’t reached my full potential.”

The Community School for Human Arts  Global Micro School prototypes are currently under development in the US, Iran, the UK, Germany and Austria.  The School also hosts monthly Global Community Bunkers via zoom around the topic of Mental + Emotional Stability, Wellness + Resilience.
